Spring coming home

Sunbeam-wrapped days tied with ribbons of wind,

Bright drowsy petals awaiting bees to drop in,

Burly brown trunks cradling little green sprouts,

“Spring has come visiting!” echoed chirps and shouts.

So one little rabbit decided he would roam,

Thinking, “If Spring can visit, Spring must have a home.”

He searched for Spring’s door, and wandered far from his own.

Then the little rabbit stopped, and sniffed, “I’m lost and alone!”

“Alone?” came a quack. “By yourself?” something tweeted.

“Why, not a soul aroooouuund?” another one bleated.

And all the voices of Spring, his fears they quelled.

So the little rabbit hopped home, for he found where Spring dwelled.
